Thanks, it was that. Solved the problem, but now facing to another… The xTeVe device dissapears from the DVR devices in Plex in about every 30 seconds… Any idea?
I do not know the solution, however. I thought it was a program, browser, system. Unfortunately, I still cut the TV through the browser. It works just fine on the Plex app for android.
When I first started using xTeVe, I didn’t like the logos provided by my IPTV, so I found URL’s to better logos, checked the Update Logos box and entered the replacement URL. I haven’t had any issues
Can anyone tell me how to make Xteve use the “Channel-ID” from the M3U? When importing the channels they get to be all over the place, with no specific order.
That would fail the entire purpose of trying to use tools to numbering channels. Even if not many, 100+ channels is still a bit.
And my guess would be that automation is something that everyone is on nowadays. Not repetition of manual tasks
Anyways, when importing it to Plex and mapping it to my local cable provider EPG, the provider channel number is applied and therefore I’m happy.
Now on to understand why some channels that are mapped to the cable provider via Gracenote are showing “Unknown airing”…
I assume you’re using Xtream Editor, the parameter channel-id has come up with your provider, just like any other parameter in an M3U playlist. There is no standard as to how an M3U should look. Thus, it is difficult to automate the import so that it is the right order for everyone. I suspect that more than 90% of people are dissatisfied with the order of the channels in the M3U, since Plex has no way to edit the channels, I have developed the mapping function. So everyone has the opportunity to create their own order.
Thanks a lot for that! I hope the previous message didin’t passed like I was complaining It was just an observation and a how to for someone to import things into Xteve properly.
And yes, Plex is highly limited on channel order and EPG settings. A little bit more customization would be good. Just a little bit more. Like having to redo everything again when you just want to edit on channel where you got the wrong EPG mapping.
Anyways, I’m happy. Thanks for your efforts and continue rocking!
Good morning Marmei I tried Xteve and the truth works very well but I come from the complement of Cigaras that plex is forcing us to leave because they do not go out to customers (tv, iphone, etc).
With IPTV Cigaras I sent my currents in m3u8 (h264-aac) and plex let them pass and did not transcode. With ts streams as we use in Xteve plex, it strives to transcode them to m3u8.
Will there be any way to send m3u8 in Xteve?
Thank you
