It’s coming in V2 apparently.
I’m waiting for that version for m3u8 streams too.
xTeVe emulates a HDHomeRun tuner, this can only TS streams. Plex knows that too and that’s why Plex can not play M3U8 / HLS streams. In version 2 (late May) xTeVe converts M3U8 streams to TS.
A few weeks ago I posted a screenshot here.
Hey Marmei.
So I tried another provider to test the buffer, but there is the same issue as before (200 http error). So I noticed it seems to be that the buffer isn’t working with Xtream editor output streams.
Using same outputs work fine without the buffer enabled.
Hi, Marmei, I think you do not explain me well. The problem is not whether they are TS or m3u8. When I send a m3u8 in h-264 audio format AAC plex only serves all its customers with iptv Cigaras, that is, the server does not know. The same stream in Xteve plex transcodes it always to m3u8 format for its clients. But it can be done as in Iptv cigaras that lets it pass without transcoding two transmissions puts the machine to 200%
regards
Plex Transcoder behaves differently with the DVR function than with films or plugins. It depends on which DVR tuner is used. If I use a real tuner with me (Fritz DVB-C) then Plex plays also RTSP streams, with xTeVe as HDHomeRun tuner but not. I can not influence that.
Status code 200 means OK. If the streams are not playing, you need to look into the Plex Log.
Oops, my bad - I looked at the wrong code. If I disable the buffer it gives the 200 and works.
It’s a 403 Response Status error if the buffer is enabled, and only on some channels (the majority).
For some reason if I use it without Xtream-Editor, it plays with the buffer fine. However then I have the issue of incomplete EPG data, so that’s not ideal either.
I have never used xtream editor, maybe they change the URL in the M3U.
All I want to do is have my sports auto record within Plex. My xmltv is very limited. Can this app fix my xmltv so it enables series link for sports?
I’ve placed xteve in a subdirectory on centos 7. How do I get it started?
So I was correct the first time. It’s giving the successful 200 code and then kicks me out afterwards. It’s saying ‘Could Not Tune Channel’ only for some channels when the buffer is enabled with or without Xtream-Editor now. In rare instances getting a 408 error.
It sounds very similar to this with HDHomeRun:
Wonder if its just a current Plex bug then and nothing to do with Xteve? Without buffer works fine so I’m sticking with that for now.
All status codes come from the provider. If the status code is not 200, no data is passed to Plex. You need to ask your provider why he sends status 408
Every time I try to start Xteve to configure it, I get this:
2019/04/24 15:06:59 [xTeVe] Web Interface: http://172.21.40.9:34400/web/
That is not even remotely close to my IP address. Am I doing something wrong?
xTeVe uses the network stack from your OS. This is one of your IP addresses. xTeVe can be reached via all IP addresses.
On Qnap:
2019-04-29 01:26:40 [xTeVe] Update available: Start software update…

Just ask in the QNAP forum, the package was created by the people of QNAP.
Any chance for adding a “not” filter? I filtered to get some Local channels, but unfortunately it pulls the CA and US, channels from this group, would be good if I could say “Locals” and “not CA”
Group title {Lacals} !{CA}
Any channel that has the letters CA in the name will also be removed
Well Vaders is officially done and gone. Service shut down. So have to shift to others
Hi,
I’m using xteve in docker on Ubuntu when I add my M3u list it says Permission denied
