I still have this issue too and the annoying thing is that it records all episodes of a program rather than the newly aired ones due to the EPG reporting everything as ‘NEW’ so it ends up using loads of unnecessary space on the server recording the same program multiple time from different airings.
I have created a separate post to see if i get a responce from Plex, here is the post:
There is an XML parameter to declare a broadcast as a repetition. If this parameter is missing it is new for Plex.
Do you have an example file please with the parameter needed?
Thanks
Hi Marmei, are you referring to this parameter?
previously-shown start=“20080306000000” /
Yes exactly. If you want to have full EPG data you need to look for a 3rd party EPG provider.
Can you recommend any for UK EPG please?
Schedules Direct: 7 day trail, $25 year. But you need a program which generates an XMLTV file from the data. Windows: epg123
I have a program, thank for the info.
Hey guys, hope you are all well. I have just finished setting up xteve with IPTV and it works. However when I go to the guide on my xiaomi mi box, the guide says “no items to display” I can still play the channels, but for some reason it doesn’t show the guide on the xiaomi box. I know that I have setup xteve correctly because the guide is present on the windows Plex media player installation.
Not sure what could be wrong.
I have tried rebooting the server, rebooting Plex, xiaomi box etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
I was wondering if anyone could help me: I have set up everything and it runs fine (I am using iptv-epg and pink-iptv): However the automatic mapping doesn’t work - when I assign the channels one by one to my XMLTV file it will automatically match it, but when I bulk assign them it won’t. Am I doing something wrong here?
try xteve
That’s what I did!
Hi all, I setup xteve just fine, i setup Plex with xteve also and I can see my channels and the guide but everytime I try to playback a channel, any channel, it pops an error saying ‘Playback Error
Could not tune channel. Please check your tuner or antenna.’ Does anyone have any idea?
Hey, I’m having the exact same problem. Same on several different clients, WebGUI, Apple TV & IPhone.
Plex DVR is not compatible with all video formats. Look at the Plex logs, maybe you’ll find the reason there.
@marmei is there anyway to get this working behind a reverse proxy like traefik? I have tried but the WebUI seems to be broken
Your proxy is configured incorrectly. The websocket connection for the configuration data is not passed on. xTeVe has an HTTP server no HTTPS
Is there something specific that needs to be configured for it to work behind Traefik? All connections to traefik are made via HTTPs but the local connections to/from traefik/xteve are made via HTTP.
I do not use a proxy. The HTTP works is clear, otherwise you would not see anything. wss://ip:port <—-> ws://ip:port must also be configured in the proxy. Open the developer tools from your browser, there will definitely be an error message.
