xTeVe - IPTV for Plex DVR

No idea which step that is. Plex asks you for your postal code, in this window there is also a link if you want to use an XMLTV file, there you enter then the file path to the xteve.xml file.

Here is a screencast:

The step numbers refer to the link I posted. I don’t even get to the step with the postal code. When clicking “Next” (“Fortfahren”) in the previous step (where plex shows the found channels), I geht the “unknown status” (“Unbekannter Status”) Error.

Tried it about a hundret times. Now it worked - don’t even know why. Hopefully now it’s stable

Plex has a 20MB file size limit for the EPG XML file. If it’s over you get the “Unknown Status” error.

I have tried everything I can think of. It worked for about 1 day after that I Rebooted my Server and thats where all the problems started. Please if anyone has an idea of what else I can try I would gladly try it.

  • Delete DVR and add again
  • Restarted Plex and Xteve
  • Limited Channels to 371
  • Clean Bundles
  • Changed IP tv provider
  • Tested Xteve with other application ( it works )
  • Upgraded to Version 1.18.0.1913

im having an issue trying to restore a prior backup. I continue to get a message that the file is being used by another process

Is it possible to compile xTeVe natively for Windows on ARM64?

This is a bug in PLex use the web app

That sounds like the program/service is still running. Make sure it is not before doing such operations.

yes, it is I remember bumping into a few forums showing you how to do it when I was trying to get it working on Unraid.

Not sure if the Plex application is also web based but it does the same thing. Is there any way i can get it to work.? i don’t care if i have to experiment with the server but i really need my IpTv working. Im desperate.

Ok I finally Found the issue and fixed it. It was 3 things one the XML file has a lot of issues. 2 i used a different version made by a different person. and 3 for the channels that would not activate i used a dummy xml provided by Xteve and everything is working.

I am trying to get xTeVe to run as a systemd process. I have used the script in Github and altered the path to the binary as well as the user running the process. The service fails to run however.

Can someone help me out?

From your screenshot it looks like you were entering the XML Path into the field that is asking for the IP Address and Port that xTeVe is running on (ie: 192.168.100.100:34400) instead of entering it on the step that is asking for the EPG source (where it asks for your ZIP / Postal Code).

At the top of the screen that asks for your Postal Code, there’s a link to enter the XML Path instead of your Postal Code.

If everthing is working ok and you want to use Xteve Xml fileimage goto web tool and look in logs for the local adderss of you 3rd party xml xsteve creates a local file for you

Hello,
would love to use this Program on my Raspberry Pi, but how can I install it?

I am using this: https://www.reddit.com/r/MattHuisman/comments/cequpn/live_new_zealand_iptv_channels_on_android_tv/euigtj0/

In the start screen of openwebif (we are talking Enigma2 set top box here, for the others) click on the TV symbol in the middle of your screen to download the Playlist. Repeat for the other bouquets after selecting them.

hope what im about to tell you helps you.

this has happen to me several times. 1st time it was the Xteve software that was edited by a different person instead of the guy that developed it. make sure you have the right xteve and if you do try a different one. 2nd time all i had to do was reload both plex and xteve. first xteve then wait till i can access it on the web after i loaded plex and it worked. and the last time it was the IPTV provider. they had some how found a way to block xteve and telly from accessing the streams.
