xTeVe - IPTV for Plex DVR

I don’t get that. How many tuners do you actually have? If your device has 2, you cannot tell xteve that you have 10. I have 8 tuners in my Vu+ and told xteve to use 4-5 of them (can’t remember which of them). Never had any issue with tuning.
Tuner management is normally done by the enigma2 box and should also be the same with xteve. A new incoming stream should be directed to a new tuner. If there are no tuners left → blackout.

My iptv service has discontinued their m3u support. Is it possible for you to add support for xtream codes? Or is that a dumb question.

Time to move on :grimacing:

Restarting Plex will usually resolve this. This will not usually impact the functionality of xteve.

Hi guys sorry
I noticed another problem
the configurations work for about 24 hours
later I have to go through the whole procedure again in order to make xteve work with the decoder because when I click on a channel it writes me the error
Unable to tune the channel. Check your tuner or antenna.
it happens to you too ??
do you have a solution that can help me solve ??
thank you all

Hey I’m posting here although I don’t know how much of this could be related to xteve.

I have xteve set up for m3u and epg, I have it working fine in plex using xmltv for guide. In the plex web player, guide shows all of my 400 channels. On Roku or Android plex apps, I only get a small number, anywhere from 7 to 60. I’ve done multiple combinations of restarting xteve, PMs, and deleting adding the DVR.

Seems to be an issue with the clients, right?

in my experince yes client problem and most of came out by epg.

if thers no epg client doesnt apper the channles and even sometimes logo of channel i dont know why

I did a bulk edit and set all channels in the mapping to “Series”. I believe this resolved that particular issue! Logos are still iffy but I have my channels!

thx i will try that

Hi everyone
i am trying to insert my iptv list in xteve without getting any results
I added the m3u file but when I go to look for the receiver and select xteve and as if no channel was loaded
when there are over 60,000 channels as per photos attached
do you know how i can solve it?
thanks

You should be seeing an error in xteve console telling you Plex can’t support that many and, if i remember, i think it recommend filters.
Additionally, the file you are using is probably not formatted like a true tv epg service, but work on first error to start

hi thanks for your reply
in xteve it gives me this error
2020/06/20 14:31:44 [xTeVe] [WARNING] xTeVe has loaded more than 480 streams. Use the filter to reduce the number of streams.
2020/06/20 14:31:44 [xTeVe] All streams: 69013
2020/06/20 14:31:44 [xTeVe] Active streams: 0
2020/06/20 14:31:44 [xTeVe] Filter: 0

so how can I solve it ??

I have eliminated many channels and left only the live and return to the 480 channels
I ask you the xmltv file for the iptv list where do I find it ??

@Coxeroni
I see you are using E2.
I added channels to Plex but the quality of the material being played back in Plex is very poor. Everything works smoothly and well in the IPTV program for android. Can you tell me what settings you have in Xteve?

I downloaded the M3U and saved it on Qnap.
File fragment:

#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-chno="15037" tvg-logo="http://192.168.50.10/picon/1_0_1_3ABD_514_13E_800_0_0_0.png" tvg-id="1:0:1:3ABD:514:13E:820000::" group-title="Octagon" tvg-name="TV HD", TV HD
#EXTVLCOPT:program=15037

In Xteve, the channels were loaded.

Everything works well on IPTV on Android, the quality is phenomenal. On the other hand, in Plexiglas, the tear image is of poor quality.

///EDIT:
I already know where the problem is. Everything works as if I turn off the buffer. XteveBuffer works. FFMPEG works only on the channel that the decoder is on.

Maybe some of you have Enigme2 and use Plex as iptv?

Now the question is why everything works well on IPTV on Android, and so bad on Plex?

What is your client? This sounds like a problem with interlaced content.
What quality problems are you actually having?

You probably don’t need the ffmpeg buffer, I don’t use it either

Because you still have more than 480 channels. You cannot have more 480 channels on Plex.

It’s in the documentation

Available Streams: Available streams / All streams
If the available streams are 0, the limit of 480 is exceeded and the filter must be used.

I think the mistake is that he didn’t map any channels.

@Doch74

Can you show this window:

Sorry for the confusion I refreshed again and it seems that everything is working properly. E2 gives advice, I didn’t think it would be so easy to get outside the house.

Hi thanks for your reply
then in part I solved by putting all the channel logos by hand and from the imported epg list I managed about 90%
Where the channel does not find the epg I made xteve dummy work
however it does not load the epg with xteve dummy and even if I put the check mark on import logo it doesn’t matter
I’ve spent over 5 hours sorting out channel by channel
Now I’m asking is there a way that selecting xteve dummy automatically imports the channels and the logo for each channel ??
I am in trouble because for example I have channel 1 x265 rai
rai 1 full hd
rai 1 sd
In practice I should put all the logos by hand for everyone and it’s a big job
last thing
in channell description what to write or import ??
and in filter what is needed and how should it be used ??
sorry but on xteve I am a beginner
anyway thanks for your help

Very interested in xTeVe and the possibility of using an E2 box to stream DVB-S/S2 Freesat UK to Plex. Before I get stuck in, can anybody help with:

  • Does OpenWebIf provide a URL to a bouquet m3u, so xTeVe can grab it directly, without having to manually download/import into xTeVe every time a channel moves/changes?

  • I’m guessing the main attraction for most folks using it is the XMLTV guide data. Where are you all getting that from/are you still manually mapping channels to guide data, or can this be automated/grabbed from the E2 box, which downloads the official Freesat EPG data?

I can’t seem to find the answers.

Thanks!
