This is because your “normal” user does not have permission to write the xteve.exe file. I’m not so familiar with Windows, but that can certainly be set for the “normal” user.
In which folder is xteve.exe?
Yeah, I already knew that and have given my user full control now anyway… I was more posting in case anyone else ran into the same error and didn’t know what to do

There are ARM binaries from xTeve, but I do not know if you can do them on the Nvidia Shield.
Yes, that’s why I asked. Usually I install *.apk apps/files, so I’m not even sure how I would go about to test this…

I’m running xteve and added my m3u list. The list is imported and xteve is shown as sillicondust tuner in my plex server. But it appeared only a very short moment than it was gone.
What should I do?
web service of xteve is still running fine and shows 166 channels

It did that to me… It still seems to work if you enter the ip address of xTeVe - click ‘connect’ and then click continue straight away

I’m running a vdr Server with Streamdev plugin. This plugin provides a m3u playlist which I would like to add to plex.
The first Installation of xteve was on my plex Server. Now I wohl ld like to try it on my vdr server
If xTeVe is installed on the same server as Plex, then you can also enter 127.0.0.1:34400 as the address in Plex.
I tried 127.0.0.1:34400 and was able to connect to a silicon dust tuner xteve but no channels showed up.
I tried a second time but this time I dont get any connection to xteve
Did you ever restart the Plex server? How many streams does xTeVe show as available?
