Xteve on the same PC as Plex Server?

Hey all,

I’m attempting to use Xteve with Plex on a Windows 7 machine but I’m having problems. During the configuration setup, Xteve will occasionally hang up, meaning I click “Next” or any other button but nothing happens, only way to fix it is to completely shut down Xteve and try again. On the rare chance that I get all the way through the initial configuration, I can set up filters and map channels, with the XEPG Channels list at the top bar displaying several hundred channels (less than 400), but after a few minutes the same problem arises and I can no longer map channels or edit any settings, and have to restart Xteve. Within Plex, if I try to set up the DVR, it will sometimes automatically locate it, sometimes I need to manually enter the IP address, but when Plex attempts to load channels, it will always tell me there are no channels found, and I cannot get past this part.

I also have an iMac in my house and attempted Xteve on there and it worked without any issue, Plex was able to locate the DVR and set it up successfully with no problems. I also verified the m3u file through Emby, VLC and an IPTV iOS app, so I know there is nothing wrong with the stream.

I’ve tried Xteve directly via the exe file and with NSSM as a service, and also made sure to run it as an administrator, but I’m still getting the same result. My only thought is I can’t run Xteve and the Plex server on the same PC, but that wouldn’t explain why I cannot even get through the initial configuration on Xteve. I’m using Chrome and tried disabling my ad blocker, anti-virus and making sure flash and javascript is enabled through Chrome’s setting, but still nothing. The Chrome browser on my iMac has the same settings and same apps installed so I don’t believe my browser settings were off. My Windows 7 PC has 16GB of RAM and a rather recent graphics card, I work with a production company and also use it to render HD video, so I can’t see it not being able to handle Xteve.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
