Problem connecting xteve tuner to Plex Server

I have a Plex Server running on Windows 10 and have a Silicondust HDHomerun 3 tuner connected to it for local FTA channels and it’s working fine.

I am wanting to add xteve tuners to it in order to access IPTV channels from overseas, however I am having a problem trying to get xteve set up on my server. I have xteve installed and running as a service on the Plex Server. xteve runs OK and I am able to access the web UI and configure it.

When I go try to set up a Plex DVR the xteve tuner will sometimes initially show up and is selectable but then disappears as I try and tune it. If I try and specify the network address manually it doesn’t work. I can sometimes get it to reappear if I restart the Plex Server and the xteve service, but not always.

I’ve also tried connecting it to a different Plex Server that doesn’t have the Silicondust tuner connected on the same subnet, Initially both the Silicondust hardware tuner and the xteve tuner show up, but as happens on my main server the xteve tuner disappears as I try and tune it.

Appreciate any assistance and suggestions for getting xteve connected and running on Plex, perferably on my main Plex Server together with my existing tuner, or alternatively on my second Plex Server.

I’ve been having the same issue, been playing around with xteve and finally got the DVR added to Plex. I’m begining to think it has something todo with the HDHomerun itself. I unplugged the HDHomerun Extend. Then killed the server and xteve. Then ran xteve, then plex and set it up. Once I got it added I then plugged in the HDHomerun and so far things have been going ok.

So far I ended up having Plex supply program data and used a cable provider in the area so I’m playing with channel mappings right now. I haven’t tried having xteve use the XMLTV data yet I just wanted to see if I can get it to work before puting more time into it.

Hope it helps!
