I use inline and have Automatic Updates enabled.
I haven’t noticed any odd behavior, but if I do, I’ll know where to squish it.
When I Plex Dance one of these things I Dance the whole thing - Folder, Movie, Extras - the works. If that hasn’t been happening - it should - with Auto Updates disabled. I love following instructions when available…lol
BTW @MovieFan.Plex - what IS the deal with the Film Reel/Trailers?
Our intrepid explorer has a bunch of them.
Do they all show up under the Reel or what?
Turned it off. Did the Plex dance on Escape from LA. When I moved it back to the folder I kept the inline naming. Got the same 3 bonus features as in the above image.
I noticed, though, that I did have Automatically Scan when changes are detected enabled. So I disabled that just in case.
I did the Hokey-Plex-Pokey and turned myself around…
Scanned library files and…
ALL THE BONUS FEATURES WERE THERE
So I then switched from inline to folders (Plex Dance, renamed the files when they weren’t in my Movies folder, then moved them back and scanned the files)
So I guess I’ll Plex Dance the entire Movies folder and see if that works for the movies where this hasn’t worked in the past (unless you have a better suggestion than killing the entire movie history)
Create a Folder on each of your hdds called:
On Deck
(or something clever)
Plex Dancing is easier when you can instantly remove from view - Dance - then move back in the blink of an eye.
Dance a few - see what happens.
I have 5000+ Movies - I can’t really think of a reason - besides the other reasons I recently restructured my entire Plexiverse - that would make me want to do that again - soon.
But… apply whatever tactic does the most damage - or cures the most disease.
Anywho - as you do that - you know you have to build ‘Version’ Extras from the ground up. Report any misbehavior, but carry on.
