So it’s a small annoyance and easily fixed by turning quality suggestions off but could you not make a check that if you are already playing at original quality it does not suggest you upgrade the stream?
What do you mean by “upgrading the stream”?
My default settings are to always play at original quality, when suggest quality is on, I get a message in the top right corner that says " your connection is fast enough to switch to a higher quality " ( not an exact quote but close ) since my quality doesn’t go any higher then Original why is it still asking me to upgrade the stream?

Plex will not actually upscale the video resolution or bitrate. The player is offering you to set a threshold for the quality; if the video exceeds that, it’ll be transcoded using that configuration.
I’m not arguing Plex shouldn’t offer those higher quality options.
IIRC those aren’t offered on the iOS client.
it’s not even a huge problem, just more of a " why isn’t this a thing already"
