Yt-dlp embedded thumbnails work in web client, not in Android TV client

Player Version#: 10.4.0.4843 (Android TV client)

Using yt-dlp, I pull videos from YouTube and embed the thumbnail in the file. In Plex, I file them in my library with the “Other Videos” category. The correct (YouTube) embedded thumbnail shows up correctly in my web client, but my Android TV client shows none or a generated one. Anything I can do this to make them work the same?
