At the moment when a server/location needs to be selected in the watchlist, all the servers I own is represented by my profile picture as the owner of the servers. This makes it visually confusing for two reason, (1) why is a server represented by the face of a person (2) it isn’t easy to distinguish between the servers with the same profile picture
Would be good to allow specific photos for servers that are separate from the owner’s profile picture
When selecting a specific TV show episode from watchlist, it seems to ask me to select a “library” (which has my profile picture on it) and when it comes to selecting a specific tv show (not episode level) and movies, it seems to ask me to select “watch from these locations beta” (which also has my profile photo).
Representing locations and libraries with the owners profile picture is confusing
I’ve moved your post to the feature suggestion section.
For clarification… the icon you see is the reference to a library (not technically a server reference).
There’s an existing suggestion discussing an option to have custom icons for libraries – though that’s targeting a wider context (not just how those libraries are represented on watchlist items).
However… if that’s what you’re aiming for, it might make more sense to comment/vote in that existing thread in order avoid distracting votes.
In watchlist, when I’m asked to select a location to watch a movie from, my personal server is there (which I call Colossus) but my profile picture represents that server… If I had to add more servers that I own, the sources would be multiple pictures of me.
In watchlist, when I’m asked to select a library to watch a TV show from, all the libraries that include that show on my server, shows up with my profile picture next to it to represent the library.
A user’s profile picture shouldn’t be representing locations (servers) or libraries
