Zombie blank Play History reported from Artists who are listed in Various Artist albums

Using an example of Eminem do the following:

• Play at least 5 tracks from any albums which has Eminem set for both Artist and Album Artist. You need at least 5 so that plexamp can show a list of recently played.
• Now, play at least 1 more track from an album with has Eminem set for Artist only and has Various Artists set for the Album Artist. I used Lose Yourself from the 8 Mile soundtrack for this test.
• Now go and query both the web dashboard and using plexamp the artist / recently played.

Web Dashboard Results:
Search for Eminem using the plex via the web and show play history. You will see the following:

Notice, the last entry… its just reported as Loading … This is the track from the 8 mile play.

Plexamp Results:
On plexamp it looks even worse …

Notice the zombie like entry at the end.

Additional Info:
Interestingly, the Dash app only shows the tracks where Album Artist is listed as Eminem when I search for Eminem. Also, if I search for Various Artists using the Dash app it correctly shows the tracks. It seems to be working well while the other two don’t.

BTW… the more songs which play from Various Artist albums the more zombie entries get populated in the artist specific play history views. I’ve just shown 1 in this example above but will grow and grow as more plays are added.
