Zyxel NAS540

You support a ton of NAS brands and models… Unfortunately not Zyxel. I’ve got a NAS540.
Is there any way I can install Plex Media Server on that thing or should I give it to the Salvation Army?

Apparently it CAN be done - https://www.hewettzone.com/guide-how-to-install-plex-on-a-zyxel-nas520/

Side note - Personally though I don’t believe the NAS540 can handle the file encoding fast enough, so I left Plex on a Dell 980 small form factor and my files on my NAS540. I loaded the Zyxel software on my Plex server and then used the software to map the NAS as shared drives. I pointed the Plex software to the shared drives and all works. (If you lose power, you sometimes have to re-connect the drives by just opening them in your file manager)

Hope that helps!

Yeah well, I am doing the same thing too using my Mac Pro as the server but the point in buying a NAS was to free the Mac Pro and use the NAS as a Plex Server and as a 24TB storage for all my movies and TV Shows so thanks but that option doesn’t help.
