Remote Control with updating playing infos

Hi im using Plex 0.9.15, rasplex 1.0.1 and the current Androide and IOS App. I can Remote Control the rasplex, but in both platforms, atfer i start a video, the page on the Tablet or phone does not get updated. Just the loading sign. So i can not see any progress or jump to a time.

Anyone an idea?

Hi,

sorry i wrote the first post from my phone.
The problem is not that i cannot remote control the rasplex client, that works quit well.
But if i start a movie, the plex client on android or ios just shows the circle (looks like he is loading), the movie plays just fine and i can stop or start another.
However i dont see the play progress on the tablet or phone, nor can i jump to a specific time with moving the timeline (it stays always at 0). Is that normal ?

Not normal, I can’t replicate the issue, make sure you are using PMS 0.9.14.6 or 0.9.15.0 and the latest iOS or Android clients.

I have checked that, its all up to date.

Hmmm maybe another problem, does the rasplex client connect back to the remote client ? If so it cannot work here because the wlan network is routed (using nat).
(client is in the 192.168.1 network, while server is in the 192.168.0 network)
I will test that without nat, or do u know which ports have to be opend ?

Hi all,

i just solved it. The rasplex client seems to make a connection back to the plex client on a mobile device. So the mobile device and the rasplex client need to know the ip from each other. So a nat between them will break the status updates.
