Hi pretty new to all this however the last few days Ive played around with this, and managed to get my 1080's mkv playing 15gb, with no or only occasionally slight buffering, using a Nas with Ethernet cable (not cat 6) over a wired network with power adapters, without overclocking, however a couple of questions pls, -
1st- I have down loaded the Plex app via applestore and manually configured to locate my files, however I can not get the remote to interact with my Rasplex via my Panasonic tv?? I can load the video and even get the dashboard up to ff/rew play stop etc however it will not play the file when trying to play on the tv, it will only work if I ask to play on iphone, it does however locate two players inc the iphone.
Do I have to key any commands to the sd card? or should the plex app automatically work, I know xbmc worked ok once located the server, currently I control the rasplex via a keyboard however I thought the app would allow me control via my iphone. do I need to adjust any settings on Rasplex? as currrenly unable to plex app to control rasplex/pi
2nd question I have a iomega nas set up via pc however on the rasplex when I turn on the pi it does not recognise my library I have to keep signing in via pin number bit of a pain, even when when I try email and password and it states signed in it does not locate my files, yet when I go to sign out it freezes on the menu??
3rdly and finally Has anybody noticed when trying to resume any videos it simply crashes and freezes, any help would be appreciated cheers Jon
