With Plex Cloud, where is the actual server, not the storage, hosted?

I understand Amazon will give me unlimited “storage” for $59.99 per year. A server is still required to take the media and convert it to a suitable format for the applicable device. The page for Plex Cloud leads me to believe I won’t need my server running at my house any longer. However, it says nothing about what is replacing my server. Will Plex be hosting my Media Server and Amazon will be hosting my storage in this scenario?

The datacenters for Plex Cloud are currently located in Dublin Ireland and Richmond USA.
When you go under https://plex.tv/users/cpms you’ll see an address under PMS Links like this: https://…plex.services
ric.plex.services = Richmond USA
ams.plex.services = Dublin Ireland.

We will be adding more data centres soon, but for he next couple of days we are focussed on testing the limits of existing setups (then will roll out new regions with identical setups):

As you’re residing in the US, your Plex Cloud instance should be on the RIC server.

Microsoft Azure platform is hosting the Cloud PMS

I thought the Plex Cloud servers were in Hogwarts.

Believe in magic you muggles!

I assume (and hope) that’s Richmond, Virginia. The internet pipes going to Richmond, Anywhere Else may not be up to the task. There are still a lot of places in the US where human beings have never set foot on and that would include truck tires stringing infrastructure through the woods.

There are places in West Virginia that have been left untrod-den by Humans - at least mainstream genetic examples of same.
