I already have amazon drive and want to know what I need to outsource my plex server from my basement into the cloud.
do I really need plex pass for that?
and how fast are the amazon cpus? can they handle multiple 1080p transcodes at once?

Plex Cloud is dead. You need to look for other options. Plex is really meant for running a media server/storage on your own hardware.
I wouldn’t call Plex Cloud dead though it’s certainly dead in regard to using ACD. There’s still a beta in progress for other cloud storage providers.
