AVG firewall blocking PLEX server

Does any one know how to set up AVG firewall to allow plex server. I am running Windows 7 Pro. AVG 1.171.3.211.

Yup, there’s just been a big update to AVG, and as a result mine is now blocking Plex too.

I can confirm that I also have this issue, tried giving it access to the ports it is using to no effect, only works if i turn off the firewall.

Same problem here. I did some digging and found the answer. This fixed my issue with the latest AVG update:

We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. Do not uninstall and reinstall the AVG programs, we suggest you to change the Firewall settings to fix this issue, please follow the below instructions to set the network profiles in Firewall : Open AVG Zen -> Open Internet Security -> Click on “Menu” in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> Network profiles -> Change the networks from “Public” to “Private” -> OK

Worked for me as well, but it’s changed a little bit since 2017.

Go to Menu in the upper right, then settings, components, find advanced firewall, then click customize, network profiles.
