AVG - Firewall Not Allowing Remote Access

Since AVG has updated to 2019 - I’ve been unable to acess plex from outside my network.

I’ve tried the following which hasn’t worked
1) Open AVG Internet Security interface and click on “Menu–>Settings–>Components–>Enhanced Firewall–>Customize”
2) To the right of “Policies” scroll down to click on “System Rules”
3) Enable the option for “Windows file sharing and printing”, “allow remote desktop connection” and the last entry “Enable stealth mode”
4) Below policies, click on “Network Profiles”, to the right click on the network connection and change the profile to “Private” if it is set to “Public”.

Can you allow any access to Port 32400 or to the Plex binary?

This was all working up until and AVG upgrade… The router is set up fine…

Where should I allow access and how do I change the plex binary…

The issue is with avg not plex…

As it worked before.

You said you allowed remote desktop in AVG, did you allow Port 32400 which is required for Plex remote access? Or allow all network access to Plex binary?

Some firewalls you can allow specific ports and some you have to allow access to the binary.

Do you have either of those setup?
