Just noticed that a large number of videos with a “first available date” in 2016 are showing 2017 in the UI. Likely added with server version 1.5.3.

LOL, your standard answer for every conceivable issue.
In this case the videos are NOT on TMDB or IMDB so naming has absolutely nothing to do with it. When not using the TMDB or IMDB agents, in the past, Plex used the file creation date.
With how much Plex breaks with every release, there is absolutely no way I am going be an alpha tester and install Plex pass releases, its bad enough being a beta tester using the public releases.

LOL. I hear ya. I’m sure sooner or later they will force us to use the latest and greatest by way of version checking.
