Wrong year on the movie

I have the same issue with Plex Server version 1.32.1.6999 running in a Docker container on my Synology NAS with this structure… London (2005) {tmdb-7515}/London (2005) {tmdb-7515}.mp4

Also IMDB, TVDB AND TMDB have 2005 or 2006

All of the movies this has happened to had the correct dates inside my library for many years. This only started to become a problem after Plex started offering these movies in their free on demand service

I’ll let you decide if that’s a coincidence

Your best bet is to correct these movies manually when you notice them
None of the other movies that have been reported got fixed, so I wouldn’t wait

If you check the release dates on imdb you will see that plex is scraping the polish release date of 3rd July 2021.

The way plex pulls dates is flawed so as @JaysPlex says the best approach is manual fixup.

Hopefully someone from Plex sees this and escalates the issue.

I had this same issue with All Hallows’ Eve (2013) where Plex was pulling the US Blu-ray release date therefore showing 2019 for the year. I was told it was because there was no theatrical release, but based on this, what I said in my thread I opened was essentially what @anon5074910 said is that their logic is flawed.

I’m slightly doubtful that anything will be changed but hopefully they will look at their logic for pulling movie release year dates.

I wouldn’t count on a response. Plex have decided in their infinite wisdom to ignore any date that contains a parenthetical note at IMDB. A logical solution would be to have an advanced library option to use the first date, but that would take work.

I think it might be using the IMDB release date in Poland for some reason.
