After installing 0.9.16.1, the server randomly just stops working. I get a server internal error when trying to connect to the localhost.
Also, it didn’t seem to finish installing the update properly, I had to manually restart Plex. Is there a way to get the latest version manually or triggering it to run a repair install?
Edit: Found the install package under \AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates and I’m running a repair now.
I had the same problem. Installed it a second time and the same problem kept occurring. I reverted back to 0.9.16.0 and have no problems. I’m definitely blaming this problem on the latest update.
Are you installing through the application, or are you installing the update manually via download from the Plex website? Are you running this update from a different user than normally runs the Plex server software?

I am having similar problems with the new version. Every time I make a change to my library like adding a folder or removing one, my server will disappear and not return. Most annoying to have to keep running the repair on the latest install and then restart my PC and server, which takes a very long time to reload.
