Update 1.16.2.1297 NOT updating

Hi all,

I am not good at these forum things, so I might be posting this in the wrong place. My issue is for the last several days I have been getting the bar telling me there is an update available - 1.16.2.1297 - I believe right now I am sitting on 1.16.2.1291. However I have downloaded it on both the server and the Online Plex and it downloads and say’s it is installing, but it never installs. It goes back to telling me I have an update. I have tried everything as far as shutting down the Server and the Online Plex, rebooted my computer, reinstalled the server blah blah and still nothing. Should I just skip this update or does anyone know the problem. I have never had this problem in the past and I have been using Plex for many years now. I have a Windows 10 fully updated 8gb ram 1tb HD .Any answer s would hopefully help

I had the same problem with the last plex update. Since it wasn’t working I decided to fix it the manual way. Plex choose to download the update. Then right click on the open plex icon near the clock. Choose the open plugin folder option, at the top go to the main Plex Media Server folder, then open the updates folder. Open the newest folder 1.16.3.1402 … Open the packages folder, run the application in that folder, follow the steps and that will update. This works every time I run into the issues with the install off the plex interface.
