Firstly I have 2 servers, one on Windows and the other on an Nvidia SHIELD, both with the same PMS version and both have the exact same issue described below.
I have just discovered a strange fault with the new music matching agent. I have a load of Lita Ford albums and decided I would re-match them now the matching is back working and it has created a second “Lita Ford” artist in addition to the one created by Plex previously. If I continue to match the remaining albums they all move over to the newly created library and the original disappears.
The spelling is 100% the same on the files. I do have “Prefer local metadata” enabled but it always has been as I want it using the track names etc I have tagged files with.
Now I have let it re-match the albums I only have 1 “Lita Ford” artist but I have discovered the more I match the more duplicate artists get created. So the next time I add a new album for an existing artist it is going to do the same and it’s going to get messy.
I guess I could recreate the entire library again but this is a bit drastic with the amount of music I already have.
Anyone else seen this issue? It only started with this new music agent.
