1.18.8.2527 stability issue: hang on library update

Server Version#: 1.18.8.2527
MacOS 10.13.6

Sadly, 1.18.8.2527 has still not resolved all the deadlocking issues for me.

PS: I should add that this is not a new issue. Every server version since 1.18.7.x is unstable to varying degrees. The last stable version for me is 1.18.6.2368.
