1.30 update broke my synology DS920+ Plex environment

Sorry for delay. I was working on another issue.

I see the server was last seen 3 hours ago.
Your logs look good except I don’t see any user authentication entries where you’d have accessed it

The server logs show your username so that is ok.

I reset your server certificate.

Please restart the server and then force-reload the browser (Control F5) after the server comes back up.

The certificate currently in your browser will be invalid and needs refreshing.

Question: Is there a specific reason you’re using the Synology Virtual Switch in your networking?

force-reload the browser but no dice. I’m attaching new logs. I have no specific reason I’m using the Synology virtual switch. I thought virtual switch was for the Docker or VMs, not the Plex package

I think I found the issue but I need your help on how to fix though. It appears that the file location is pointing to /volume2/Media when trying to access the files; when the actual location of the Media folder is under /volume1/Media. I do remember the /volume2/Media is correct and that’s where the Media folder used to be even after the DSM6 —> DSM7 migration. This may sound dumb but I don’t know when/how Media moved from /volume2 to /voume1. Could this be the DSM update caused it? How do I edit the Plex config point to the correct path or should I make the symbolic link from the cli from /volume2/Media to /volume1/Media/?

Shared folders do not move across volumes unless expressly moved in Control Panel - Shared Folder.

Synology does not have “symbolic links” in DSM 7.

How do you fix this:

  1. Go to the library section which references /volume2/Media
  2. EDIT it
  3. click “Folders”
  4. ADD “/volume1/Media/”… (finish the path here)
  5. SAVE that
  6. Let PMS scanner work and pick up the media files
  7. Confirm everything is back
  8. EDIT the library section again
  9. DELETE the incorrect folder path(s)
  10. SAVE

It’s working again. Thank you very much for your time and help
