Server Version#: 1.40.7998
Ubuntu 20.04.6
Prior to upgrade, I ran an auto check on the db using GitHub - ChuckPa/PlexDBRepair: Database repair utility for Plex Media Server databases
ChuckPa’s tool found no errors and backed up properly.
The upgrade seemed to go fine. (Feb 17) The libraries were very snappy and PMS ran fine for about 24 hours. At this point (Feb 18), PMS would continue to run, but all clients (Web, Shield, iPhone) would report that there were no libraries.
On the server, PMS would not gracefully restart.
systemd[1]: Stopping Plex Media Server…
systemd[1]: plexmediaserver.service: State ‘stop-sigterm’ timed out. Killing.
systemd[1]: plexmediaserver.service: Killing process 3270 (Plex Media Serv) with signal SIGKILL.
After a reboot, PMS ran fine for ~ 24 hours.
Again, clients lost their libraries. I gave up and restored db and rolled back and all seems fine now.
Happy to help troubleshoot if anyone is interested. Just wanted to create this in case others see the same issue.
