I tried to install the automatically downloaded latest version of Plex server for my Win2012R2 server but keep getting failed install messages. The only error messages I see in the install log is not very helpful. Any insights would be welcome.

I don’t think this is the right forum for this discussion, but…

I am running Plex Media Server on Windows Server 2012 R2 as well. I always have to stop Plex Media Server before running a new setup file. I manually download the setup file and transfer it to the server to run every time.
Automatic update never works for me.

You’re posting in the DVR section. Exactly which “latest version” of Plex Server are you installing, and what is the current version of your Plex Server?
