This new option by having new 1000 free movies added – is this only works for public connection or can it work for home only internal LAN without having authenticate to external plex.tv?
If I do have to authenticate externally for this feature to be added on my internal server will it also register my internal server with plex publicly (which I do not want to do).
Please let me rephrase.
I understand it is not part of any PLEX server and that is coming as a courtesy from Plex team.
I also understand that my PLEX server acts as a client when receiving this gift from PLEX team in form of a link on it to access the movies.
Now that this it out of the way, can this (1000 movies) link be added on my INTERNAL client WITHOUT logging into plex site?
I called it INTERNAL client because it is accessing my INTERNAL Plex server and I’d like to be able to watch these movies on it without logging in, if it is possible. That is my question.
For some reason when I use the link above via plex.tv site the MOVIE & TV link works in the browser however when I go to the same server via its LAN IP the link option does not exist. Any advice?
Also in Announcement you used to be able to click on 1000s movies as link and now you can’t.
How to enable 1000s movies MOVIE & TV option on Nvidia Shield?
I can get it to work in the web player using above link but how to make it work in PMS player?
How to add SHOW AND TV option in the player under Online Media Sources?
Are Plex Media Player and Nvidia Shield not supported?
From a user standpoint it would easier to identify what you have if it said more than “Plex” on the Window.
PMP displays “Plex Media Player” on the Window.
Plexweb displays “Plex” on the Window.
PfW/M display “Plex” on the Window.
When you download PfW/M - you don’t know what you’re downloading 'cause it says “Plex”.
Plex Media Player’s download usually requires a complaint thread about how inadequite PfW/M is - before a Volunteer sends them to the buried link where PMP lives.
You guys have issues on your “Plex/User” interactions.
“Plex” is the only one of those two groups that knows what’s going on.
All but Veteran Plex “Users” don’t have a clue what’s going on either beforehand, when they don’t know what they’re getting or after when they’ve got it.
