112 Channels Found during Scan but Many Missing at Next Step (28 missing)

I have a a OpenQAM cable service with a 112 channels that are always viewable via my HDHR-US (latest firmware installed) using SiliconDust’s software or EyeTV.

When I scan with Plex’s DVR setup it initially finds all 112 but at the very next step only 84 are shown in the list.

Is there anything else I can do to figure out why the missing 28 channels are not shown on the found channel list screen but are shown in the log file?

I will also add this happens on my FreeBSD PMS and OSX PMS running 1.18.3.2129. It happens on older versions also.

For example channel 2 is missing. When I review the “Plex Tuner Service.log” channel 2 at 57000000 Hz is found and added to the list. And all 112 channels are found and the signal strength is good.

Attached a two examples that look identical but Channel 2 is lost but Channel 7 is shown.
channel 7 found.txt (3.4 KB)
channel 2 found but not shown.txt (3.5 KB)

Another example is channel 13 (which has two sub-channels) both are found (in the initial count and log) but only one is shown on the final scan list 13.2 (see screenshot in main post)
channel 13.1 and 13.2 found but only 13.2 shown.txt (3.7 KB)

Here is the whole log file.

I also have this exact issue. This is not a lineup issue because it happens before you can even put in your zip code. It seems related to the way Plex interprets the results of the scans of a HDHomeRun Dual with 100% ClearQAM lineup like used on college campus. A friend with an Extend doesn’t have this issue but most of his channel numbers start with 5000.

I also have no problem scanning and viewing the missing channels on both with any other software like VLC.

Does anyone from Plex know how to debug what happens between OPs first screenshot and second one. The reduction (filtering) from 112 to 84 channels are not reflected in the logs.
