16GB NVIDIA SHIELD w/ USB3 Flash for Adopted Storage + HAUPPAUGE WinTV-DualHD - TV/DVR Broken

Hello all,

I have a 16GB NVIDIA SHIELD as my server with a USB3 flash drive to utilize adopted storage. I bought a HAUPPAUGE WinTV-DualHD tuner and an antenna to try out the Plex TV and DVR features. Using WinTV on my Windows Laptop, I can receive most channels just fine.

However, I have been unable to tune most channels using the setup with Plex, and have been unsuccessful getting any recordings to work. I often get error messages such as “failed to start transcoder”, or “try again later”, or it just sitting there attempting to tune but never showing any picture/sound.

Should my setup work with Plex TV and DVR currently, or are there known bugs/issues that would cause problems for me?

I’m in the US.

I have the same setup using a HDHR Extend as the tuner and I am having no problems recording. The Supported-DVR-Tuners-and-Antennas page seems to indicate the tuner will work with the Nvidia Shield but I do not have the device myself.
