I got alerted that my plex server uploaded 779MB of data to the 184.105.148.117 address and then a few days ago 22MB to 184.105.148.92. What are these servers? Searching seems to show them as Plex but why and what is it uploading almost 800MB of data in 24 hours for? Can I block that IP Address?
Did you or anyone you share with stream remotely in the past few days? It could be a Relay server that Plex will route streams through if a direct connection to your server can’t be made (and you have relay enabled).
I checked the logs and no one has connected to my server other than my local server which does not use the relay. I a lot of errors in the logs files with this IP Address trying to do things. Not sure if that means anything. But for sure I do not see any trace of plex activity in any logs.
My guess would be you sent something to plex. that IP address goes back to them. One of their folks can verify the information in this file.
