Why/what is Plex uploading to 194.110.113.228?

Does anyone have any idea why/what Plex is uploading to 194.110.113.228? It’s in France, and I have no devices in France that would be accessing my Plex server. My Firewalla security device is reporting this to me.

It may or may not be related to that functionality as your plex server will upload to their cloud if you have it enabled.

@anon5074910 I do indeed have Sync Watch State and Ratings enabled. But I’ve always had it enabled, so I’m surprised I haven’t seen this until now. Could have just missed it I suppose. I’ll see what happens when I watch from two different devices.

No worries. As I say may not be related to your query. It’s certainly one of those things that uploads from your personal plex server to their cloud.

The size is also small, 5mb, which is why it made me think watch status/ratings.

I share my library with a couple of friends/family members, none in France. I do not use a VPN.

Do you know if any of them use VPNs?

Maybe a port scanner loaded the login page from your Plex Media Server?
