2 Plex server on 2 nas boxes with different names

Hi there

I have 2 QNAP Nas boxes.

I would like to run 2 Plex server one on each. I have currently copied the library from one to another and plan on trimming moveis and series out of each one to separate them.

I renamed the new server but when I turned the old one back on it connected with the new server name and vice versa.

I’m guessing that I made some mistakes along the way or I need to have 2 separate accounts>

Any advie would be great

No need for 2 accounts.
Best check out the steps to take when cloning a server and how to get rid of a duplicate machine identifier.

Hi Tom80H

That worked perfectly I had made a backup of the original files in the library and was able to copy the original Preferences file back and there you go all working.
