2 Questions regarding DVR features

Obviously, I’m new.

  1. Can I begin watching a recording before it finishes recording? My DVR experience has been with Comcast hardware. I could begin to watch a recording as the show was recording.

  2. Can you stop a recording while it is in process?

  1. yes last time I tried. I don’t remember if this was client specific though

  2. scheduled recordings you cannot stop, unless you cancel the whole recording series (you would need to reschedule again if you wanted other episodes). Live tv time shifting is not saved (unless you hit record and thus create a scheduled dvr recording). If you change station while timeshifting, you will lose your place and start again from wherever point you tuned in at.

also, there is no way to pause a scheduled dvr recording (no global or series specific pause).
