My question is;
I have a PC running Server 2016 that is also running plex. This works great, BUT the server OS can’t run all the things I need it to run. I then need to install Windows 10 and choose when I boot which OS to start. How will this work with plex? Can I have 2 plex servers with the same name as there is no possible way both can run at the same time? It would be great to only see one server when I open the plex player…
Theoretically, this should be possible.
Export the Plex-related registry settings from one Windows and import them to the other Windows.
Make sure to adapt any drive letters and path names which may be referenced in there.

Side question: Ever thought of using VMs?
I thought of Virtual Machine, but the computer will mainly be running the server OS. The server is a gaming computer with good parts and I want to also be able to use it as a gaming computer when I get visitors and we want to game. It will also be running Oculus Rift that refuses to install on Server OS… But I will try what you said, hopefully it works
