2 Servers, 2 Locations, 1 Plex Pass: This is so confusing. I can't add a 2nd server

2 Locations in town.
1 Plex Pass account.

Separate networks.

Both servers are running under Ubuntu 16.04. Both networks utilize pfSense as the router. Both locations have static IP addresses.

Site A: Server address 192.168.1.100. Plex Server port 32400. Port forwarding public port 32401.
Site B: Server address 192.168.1.100. Plex Server port 32400. Port forwarding publci port 32400.

If I access 192.168.1.100/web from my desktop at site A, I am prompted to login, and the resulting interface reveals the PMS at site A.

If I access 192.168.1.100/web from my desktop at site B, I am prompted to login, and the resulting interface reveals the PMS at SITE A!

Why isn’t plex finding the local server running at site B?

Okay, I think I’ve figured out how to do this.

  1. The first thing I had to do was make sure that each “site” had a different public facing port in the router and thus, each server’s settings (Settings --> Remote Access --> Manually specify public port) needed to also have that port number set. The private port doesn’t need to change. It can remain as 32400. So your router on one network will point 32400 --> 32400 and on the other 32401 --> 32400. Or pick some other port number as the public number. Your choice.

  2. The second part that was a bit confusing was making sure that the server that I wanted to ADD to my primary account wasn’t already claimed by another account. It had been. So, I had to login to the 2nd account, which isn’t a plex pass account, and unclaim the server. This is done in the Settings --> General area under the Server signed in as section.

That’s confusing. There’s a picture of my avatar next to “Server signed in as” and then my e-mail address next to a Sign Out button.

This server is currently claimed by whatever@whatever.com. To disconnect this server from that account, click UNCLAIM To claim this server, access it using a local browser on the same network and login to your preferred Plex account, then re-claim this server.

Once you have claimed this server on the correct account, it will appear in your Plex interface when you login to https://app.plex.tv.

That would make a bit more sense.
