Problem with two servers on same network

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

I am running two different servers on the same subnet. One for test and the other for external access. I had no problems and could switch between then I am logged into my account. Yesterday I made a trial sub for plex pass. Right after the subscription was applied I cant switch between them on the configuration web and can only access one of them Even if I try to access the other one by ip 192.xxx.xxx.xxx:32400 it will be directed to the other one which has another Ip. The strange thing is that they are both working and from my clients apple tv 4 I can still switch between them and they are both functionel.

One of the servers has been deleted from your account yesterday.
You might have to perform this procedure: https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

Thanks
It didnt help. Then I access 192.xxx.xxx.119:32400 I get into the server with the address 192.xxx.xxx.111 and I cant choose the other one. As I said the only think I did was making a trial subsription

Did you perhaps create a different plex account for the Plex Pass?
Then you have one server in one plex account and the other server in a different plex account. The cure is again the procedure I linked to above.

Hi

No I only have one account.
As I told you is it possible to switch between the two servers on the same account on my two apple tv 4s. I dont think it would be possible if they there placed on two different accounts . The strange thing is that it happened just after I signed that subscription.

Did you restart all the plex servers and clients yet?

Yes I did

Suddenly it worked out. But now there is another strange problem. All clients are working incl. my phone on wifi but my android telephone can only see one server when Wifi is disabled and is using remote access. The strange thing is that its the other server I made a port forwarding rule to on my router and there is no rule for this one. I can see that remote access is red for this server and green for the other one which is unaccesible. It seems like its reaching the server through the other one like I realized on the lan side with 192.xxx.xxx.111:32400 reaching the wrong server with the 192.xxx.xxx.119 ip address.

I love it

I want my life back from before my subscription because at that time I didnt realiise one single strange thing with plex.

Now I closed my server on my qnap nas. It became unavaible on the website but I could still choose it on my apple tv and see movies etc. Very very strange. I started the server on the nas logged out of the app on the phone. Logged in again and now it asked me which server I wanted to logon. It seems like everything is working again.

Its good but I hate to solve something without getting the root cause.

Now I am just confused at a higher level

Thanks for your help. Much appriciated.

if you add a server on your network and it uses the same public port as one you already have live - then the new server will clobber the old server and plex.tv will remove the old one

You must always ensure each server uses a different WAN Public port. Some routers do not allow you to have different WAN and LAN ports in a port forward and so you are stuck with only able to have one server

But most routers do allow it and so your setup must be like this example

PMS 1
Port Forward Public Port 32400 to Local Port 32400 for 192.168.100.119
manually specify port ticked in settings and 32400 entered

PMS 2
Port Forward Public Port 32410 to Local Port 32400 for 192.168.100.111
manually specify port ticked in settings and 32410 entered

Thanks
I guess you mean different wan port and not wan ip.

I am not able to solve the problem with the phone. I tried to make a rule on my router with different wan and lan port. If I test it in remote access on the server it doesnt work. By the way. How will the client know which port to use. Does it get a list of servers on which ports then you logon to your account.

yes -sorry. @OttoKerner corrected it for me

Did you enter the new WAN port in the box on the server in manually specify port box and re-establish remote access?

To correct the problem you have to micro manage it and bring one server up at a time and setup its target configuration and then close it down and then bring the other one and set it up correctly and then bring both up

At this minute if you bring the NAS up it is preset to use 32400 which is what your desktop is using.

So decide what you are going to do - move the live one - the desktop to 32410 say and get it to work and published on that and then bring the NAS up

They all ask plex.tv and plex.tv gives the routes

You can see what it is by running this query
https://plex.tv/pms/resources.xml?includeHttps=1&includeRelay=1&X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxx
you would need to put the server token
