So I have been running Plex media server for some years just fine in my home with a 192.168.1.0/24 subnet.
I have had to introduce a second subnet to my home network as 192.168.254.0/24 for various reasons. These networks both run on the same physical network layer.
My Plex Media Server (Windows 10) has a single network interface and has an IP configuration of 192.168.1.x, subnet mask is 24 bit and gateway on the 1 range also. I have also added a secondary IP address to this network card so it can talk to devices on the 254 subnet also. This is working and this device can talk to devices on both subnets.
I have moved my HD homerun device from the 192.168.1.x range to the 192.168.254.x range and I can NOT see it any more in Plex media center even if I manually enter the IP.
I CAN successfull communicate with the device in windows.
Is there anything I need to do in plex to allow it to communicate on the second subnet or does it bind itself to only 1 subnet?
