I’ve submitted the next Samsung Plex app release to Samsung. It’ll be the first release on the device so there may be more testing done by them before release, so I’m not sure how long that will take. Hopefully in the next week or two or will be available barring any big bugs or incompatibilities that may be discovered
I have the Q875 that I purchased couple weeks ago. I was able to find the Plex app on there. Although, I have the same issue that others have listed from few years ago that audio and video is out of sych. Plus, I don’t see the ability to change the buffer size as one of the suggested fix.
Even though you purchased it this year it is still a 2018 model. Not the same issue so please post in another thread if you are having issues you would like to report. no hijacking! I mean that in the most polite manner btw. good luck to you!
There’s a bug that only happens on the 2019s that is preventing release. I’m still waiting for my TV to arrive so I can work on it. I should be getting it tomorrow so hopefully not too long after that, but no ETA.
You can download the beta Plex client from November of last year and it works until they release an official version. Do some searching on the forums and there is a link with instructions.
There version I found was 3.84.1. Is that what you are talking about? I have it loaded and it works for the most part accept for 4K the audio causing it to pixelate when using AC3 5.1 on 4K movies. If I select another type of audio (DTS, TrueHD, etc) it forces the server to transcode the audio (not the video) instead of Direct Play and it works fine. Good enough till official is released.
Could someone please post the link to the beta version we can install. i have been searching the forums and i cant find it… got my brand new qled 82 inch yesterday and am shattered plex is missing…
this beta version are we taking about installing it on the tv?
