I was playing nothing/doing nothing with plex on my phone or any other device but it was drawing data all day while I was not on wifi (25gig). I noticed the data being used the day after, another 4 gigs of mobile data used while I was out of the house. I was able to pin point that it was my phone by “force closing” the app on my android phone while looking at the plex dashboard and as soon is it closed data would drop to zero. But the problem would immediately come back as soon as I started the app. (drawing around 10-20mbps continuously) with nothing playing, everything synced, mobile sync turned off. I had all the appropriate “do not use mobile data” settings set, and never had this issue before. I think some sync thing was broken and constantly trying to sync but not actually doing anything other than use data. The solution that fixed it, for now, was I cleared the apps cache on my phone and it has stopped. Posting this because I briefly looked in the forums to see if anybody else had this recently and I didn’t see anything.
