It seems that the media keys are not working, being able to use play/pause is personally very crucial in my media consumption.
Same issue here. I don’t seem to be able to control Plex from the play/pause/next/prev global hotkeys anymore, and the Windows dialog that shows up when I attempt to use them shows nothing playing, just ‘Plex’. Picture

It’s strange because media keys work fine with my Logitech keyboard but not on my Surface Pro 3 keyboard. Will need to take a better look at this.
Just tested my non pro Surface 3 keyboard and the media keys don’t work either. They work in the non beta app without issues.
Sitting on a Logitech G510 and its not working, same result when i restarted Logitech Gaming Software.
I’m using an MK700, but shouldn’t make any difference :-/

I’m not sure if this should be posted here, but a similar problem exists with Windows MC remote control. During video playback, the back arrow doesn’t exit a video and take me back to previous screen; stop, fast forward, reverse, pause, chapter backward, and chapter forward do not function as in the standard PHT.
Updated windows to the anniversary update (1607)
When i press the play/pause key i now get the pop up window (se image) but it does not pause or play the movie if plex is not the application in focus. If i select plex then it works.
This was fixed a few versions back, FWIW.
