I have commented out the hot plug and drive lines as directed. When that didn't work I tried in addition specifying the sdtv_mode=0 and sdtv_aspect=1. Still just a black screen. I have the proper 4 channel 3.5mm plug that has the 3 rings on the plug and 3 wires on the other side yellow/red/white.
I am on the 0.4.1 build. Please help?
Figured it out! The 3.5mm cable I got was a camcorder cable so the Right Audio and Video needed to be swapped. The part that eluded me earlier was the fact that if you want to test by simply plugging it in, you have to have the video cables plugged into the tv/receiver before you power on the pi. If you do not, plugging it in after will result in a black screen.
