This is an issue that I wonāt be able to test until football season starts, which is in 3 months, with preseason starting before then. I will pick up the flag here again with any updates on getting this to reproduce. ![]()
Bumping to reset the clock here. Getting back into football season so will be testing this soon. ![]()
Seems like the other baddie in my world was fixed which only leaves this one. Waiting for it to happen again before I make a big deal about it.
We were able to run 4 streaming Rokus from Plex yesterday for many hours without any issues.
Well, from Plex, that is. At one point the WiFi extender decided to flake out and all four lost their connection. I thought I had run into this issue but upon searching the logs nothing was displaying, leading me to look into other causes which ultimately led to the flaky extender. Looks like it needs a firmware update. ![]()
But that looks promising. It was super sweet to see it work so well during this time. 2 had streams from previous games and the other two were streaming live TV streams. ![]()
I will do this for another few weekends before feeling better about this issue.
Unfortunately I just ran into this issue again.
Not sure how to move forward as it doesnāt appear NVidia wants (or can) fix it.
It seems like Plex would simply catch the error and pick up from where it wasā¦
So I upgraded to the latest drivers and have been streaming 3 channels now through Roku with various configurations for 1.5 days now without issue, or at least this one. The Plex application appears to have crashed once on one of the Roku units, which is somewhat expected? ![]()
Anyway, I am hoping this is as promising as it looks. Wondering if thereās something I am doing on weekends that is leading to this issue. Maybe itās not streaming but streaming + also recording with another channel? ![]()
Two full days of streaming now (over 12 hours per day) on 3 Rokus concurrently and no crashing on the latest NVidia drivers. Is this really fixed now with the latest drivers? I remain unconvinced until I go through a few weekends under actual game conditions.
I will continue to monitor through the weekend and next week before I declare this fixed. I will brag on here on the daily to further tempt fate.
3 full days with 3 Roku streams now at 12 hours per stream, no issues. Thatās pretty awesome. Thatās 108 hours of error-free streaming. Did all my woeful nagging finally take with a soulless/faceless megacorp? I remain skeptical but this is looking promising. Itās more likely someone else complained about something else and somehow managed to fixed this along for the ride. ![]()

Today is actually game day, literally. I will stream through college games and see how it does. I will do this for a few weekends before signing off on this. It would be amazingly awesome to get this off my plate after many years of hounding and screaming into the void.
Four full days now on 3 streaming Roku devices 12 hours per day, no problems. Dannnnnggg⦠looking good. Seems like no amount of bragging on here is shaking its resolve either.
Even so, I remained unconvinced.
I will continue for a few more days before being satisfied.
So it turns out 2 of my 3 streams were not transcoding but were streaming as Original. ![]()

I am upgrading the process to four streams now, all verified as transcoding and weāll run this for a few more days.
Yesterday went well without a hitch, streaming the entire day without failing. Seems promising.
12 hours of Plex Live TV streams on 4 Roku devices without issue. I am getting convinced this issue is fixed with the latest NVidia drivers. ![]()
I will go one more day here and mark this issue as complete if no issues occur.
Iāll mark this as solved for now and undo it if there is a further encountered problem.
Fixed as of NVidia Drivers v565.90. ![]()
That only took 3 years. ![]()
