I am unable to play 3D movies in my 3D TV using Android.
Tested:
My android phone
Onn Android TV
Generic Android TV
Raspberri Pi5 personal built Android TV
3D movies only works in the Plex app from the TV (Samsung)
Any idea?

Your TV is doing the change to 3D mode if that is what you mean, not the Plex app. Plex has no support for 3D in any app.
you need the app to be able to transcode the m2ts file for the 3D TV to pick it up. I havent try a mkv SBS but that 3D format is not optimal.
The server nor any of the app we make have any knowledge of anything about 3D formats. If you are using some third party app like the old one for Samsung Smart Hub TV’s I cannot speak to that. ( the smart hub app was made by someone else and afaik they stopped updating it like 5 years ago)

Yep thats why I want plex to handle 3D movies.
Math is easy, plex app/server to strean m2ts 3D to the 3D TV.
Tli can put an usb stick with a m2ts straight on the tv and will recognize the stream and switch to 3D.
Would be good if Plex can stream the data for the tv to understand it is a 3D stream
It won’t. or I should say i cannot imagine a scenario which we would at this point.

Back in the days, as in before 2015, Samsung was running another OS on their smart-tv’s that they are doing today
Back then, Plex did not have a player for Samsung, but two community guys stepped in, and created a Samsung client.
In that client, they made it possible to switch to 3D mode, if the filename in PMS was named to their specifications
This was never ever a Plex thing, but a 3rd. Party thing!
In 2015, Samsung switched to another OS on their TV’s, and the 3rd. Party client died
As such, Plex never ever had support for switching into 3D mode on a TV, so the user has to do that manually
