"404 GET /video/:/transcode/universal" occurring in Ubuntu 18 after upgrade

Server Version#: 1.15.4.994
Player Version#: 3.95.2

Running Plex on ubuntu 18.04. After upgrading to the latest Server version, it returned 500 errors. The logs showed query errors on nonexistent database columns so I ended up deleting the database and letting Plex recreated it. Now I’m getting nonspecific ‘Transcoder exited due to an error’ messages when trying to play media. This is also happening when playing from an AppleTV. I have confirmed that the files can be played on the host machine. Attached are the Server logs. Digging through them I see several lines that look like the following:

May 11, 2019 08:53:30.412 [0x7fac4da99700] DEBUG - Completed: [127.0.0.1:49470] 404 GET /video/:/transcode/universal/dash/wgep0eb9gur89p46ft36pvvq/1/initial.mp4 (10 live) GZIP 1ms 458 bytes (pipelined: 3)

I’ve searched the forums for similar errors but cant find anything that helps. Any advice is appreciated.

Plex Media (5.7 MB)

Just a bump, getting the same error on Debian.

Thank you for the logs.
I see the error codes

Would you please:

  • Stop Plex,
  • Remove “/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Codecs/EasyAudioEncoder-eae-69c1de6-25-linux-x86_64/”
  • Start Plex
  • Attempt again, allowing for the codec to download again.
