I’m running PMS in docker on an Ubuntu server 18.04 machine. After a recent reboot, I’m now unable to stream some content to web or chromecast. From what I’ve been able to find on the web, it appears it’s an issue with permissions and transcoding, but all the suggested fixes don’t seem to work for my problem. I can watch some content on my phone, but when I try to cast that same content to a chromecast, or watch the same content on my PC using plex for web, it never renders the video, and after spinning for a while, it tells me the transcoder exited due to an unknown error.
In the logs, I see a lot of messages along these lines:
Completed: [192.168.1.100:50439] 404 GET /video/:/transcode/universal/dash/ohcknusf9dbufyz20zld6ran/1/0.m4s (10 live) TLS GZIP 0ms 458 bytes (pipelined: 6)
I’m not clear what I need to fix here. When I run ls -l on the folder container plex, I get this:
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Apr 19 00:21 plex
drwxrwxrwx 6 root root 4096 Apr 15 13:55 zm
