4k and 2k content showing as 1080p

My 4k and 2k content are tagged as 1080p when viewing them in the app. What can I do to fix this?

Please hover over the item, click the ellipsis, “Get info” -> View XML.

We only need down to the </Media> marker.

2K ~= 1920 of the 1920x1080p
4K ~= 3840 of the 3840x2160p

2K, and 4K refer to the horizontal dimension.
Some things refer to the vertical dimension 1080p which is the correct method.

FYI - there is actually a 2K standard, 2048x1080, although no one really uses it.

What do you mean “tagged”? If the playback shows that, it’s possible that the app couldn’t natively play that resolution so it transcoded the video. When that happens, PMS produces at most a 1080p output.

So, what Plex client were you using.
