Tried this with various 4K content in various formats - always seems to be the same result.
If I play through kodi, it either hangs and won’t play or it tries to play and states it’s transcoding. If I play it directly through kodi (mapped drive to my NAS) then it plays without issue.
do you HEVC & 4K support enabled in plex for kodi ?
Sorry for delay. I have up in the end and just mapped to the files directly from Kodi. But yes, I had that option ticked.
im having the same issue, 4K HDR plays fine on kodi and plex shield app, but if i play it through plex kodi addon it gets transcode, any help?
plex server is on my unraid server
the files that are getting transcode they all have Dolby Vision Data
